Keep Waters Clean I, Pink Moomin mug was produced only in 2015.

The pink “Keep Waters Clean” mug was released in 2015 as part of a special environmental campaign. It’s special because it was made in Finland and sold only in Sweden, on Swedish ships, and in a few specialty stores—hence the nickname “the pink Sweden mug.” It’s especially known for its “Made in Finland” label, and its limited availability makes it prized among collectors. The base carries the year 2015. There are no matching items (no bowl or plate) for this mug.

The “Keep Waters Clean” mug reflects Tove and Lars Jansson’s early-1970s involvement in environmental campaigns. The artwork is based on a poster designed for the HSR (Håll Sverige Rent) Foundation, part of the “Save the Baltic Sea” campaign. The image shows Moominmamma hiding a phosphate sachet from a sea monster, symbolising the need to protect our waters. Its gentle pink tone and story highlight Tove Jansson’s closeness to nature and the importance of protecting the sea.

This mug has stayed popular with collectors due to its symbolism and limited supply—yet Finmug almost always has some in stock for fans around the world.
