The 'True to His Origins' Moomin mug (0.3L) has been on sale since 2017.

Released in 2017, the Moomin mug 'True to His Origins' is a tribute to Tove Jansson's 1965 novel "Moominpappa at Sea". Although the mug is mainly black and white, a few yellow details also flash in its illustrations. Special attention has been paid to Tove Jansson's characteristic line usage, making the mug recognizable.

The Moomin family's adventure on the lighthouse island comes to life in this mug. "Moominpappa at Sea" reflects Tove Jansson's deep feelings and experiences, especially during the time when she was experiencing grief and longing after losing her mother. This mug is not just a vessel, but it tells a story of family, change, and loss.

The 'True to His Origins' Moomin mug was the first in the series, followed by the "Sleep Well" Moomin mug. The dishware set also includes a bowl, serving bowl, two differently sized jars, a plate, and a teapot. The entire dishware series is still in production, designed by Tove Slotte, who has managed to preserve Tove Jansson's original vision."
