The ”Moominvalley park Japan” 1st anniversarymoomin mug has been in production only in 2020.
This special Moominvalley Park Japan 1st Anniversary mug was launched in 2020 to commemorate the first year of the Moominvalley Park theme park in Japan. The mug was available exclusively in the said theme park. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the park had to close its doors for a significant portion of the year. As a result, the production volume of this mug remained very limited, which has influenced its collectible value. It's no surprise that the mug's limited production has driven its value so high.
The mug's background illustration is from Tove Jansson's comic strip #4 Lonely Island. A special detail is that the base of the mug not only has the Arabia stamp but also the Moominvalley Park logo and a "1st Anniversary" marking. When purchasing this mug with a label, you'll also receive its original storage box and a canvas bag.
