Too-Ticky Lila Moomin mug (often also pink Too-Ticky) was released in 2016 to replace the earlier blue Too-Ticky mug. The same design also appears on a matching bowl and plate. While Too-Ticky isn’t the most popular character for everyone, the mug’s charming pink tone is much loved among collectors. Designed in Finland; mugs with a “Thailand” label are made in Thailand. Pieces with the rare “MOOMIN 75” gold backstamp are especially sought after. Most mugs in this run carry the newer “By Arabia” backstamp.
Because the background is a single light colour, small factory flaws—like tiny black dots—are easy to notice, so the mug less often reaches Finmug’s Supergood category. Still in production, this lovely pink mug brightens any table setting and, thanks to its affordable price, is perfect for everyday coffee use.

The pink Too-Ticky mug’s artwork is based on Tove Jansson’s Moominland Midwinter. Too-Ticky—one of the few Moominvalley characters who stays awake through winter—plays a barrel organ in front of the familiar bathing house while Little My dances in the background; on the other side, Too-Ticky is shown fishing in wintry scenery. A small hidden “Tove” signature can also be found in the design.
