The Last Dragon Moomin Mug has been on sale only in 2019.
The "Last Dragon" Moomin mug is one of four unique mugs released in honor of the new Moominvalley animation series in 2019. The Last Dragon is the most valuable animation mug, possibly due to its smaller production batch or captivating illustration. The mug's base has a "MOOMINVALLEY" stamp, ensuring its authenticity and connection to the 3D animation series.
The mug's illustration focuses on the first season's third episode, "The Last Dragon". On its green base, we see Snufkin and Moomintroll intently fishing, reflecting the lights and shadows of Gutsy Animations' new animations faithful to Tove Jansson's original creations.
Arabia produced these "Last Dragon" mugs only until the end of 2019, making them rare and sought-after collectibles today. This was the first time Moomin mug illustrations were based on a 3D animation series, marking it as historically significant. The animation itself is based on the original works of Tove and Lars Jansson, adding to the mug's value and appeal.
