Arabian talvikausi tuo mukanaan raikasta viimaa ja lumen tuomaa iloa, ja vuoden 2023 talvisesonkimuki Mäenlasku ei ole poikkeus. Pohjautuen Tove Janssonin vuoden 1955 ikoniseen sarjakuvaan "Vaarallinen talvi", joka inspiroi myös edellisen vuoden talvisesonkimukia "Talven ihmeet", Mäenlasku-muki sukeltaa syvemmälle Muumilaakson lumoavaan talvimaailmaan ja kuvastaa muumien talvisia seikkailuja pastellinsävyisissä väreissä.

Muumilaakson mäenlaskukilpailut ovat täydessä vauhdissa! Herra Virkkunen, tunnettu urheilullisista taidoistaan, saapuu Muumilaaksoon jälleen. Kuitenkin, vaikka Mymmeli voittaa hiihtokilpailussa, Virkkuselle annetaan mahdollisuus voittoon seuraavassa kilpailussa, kunnes Haisuli kääntää asiat ylösalaisin paljastaen Virkkuselle totuuden.
