The Moomin mug "Moomin Day 2024", also known as "Spring", is part of the seasonal Moomin Day series, which previously includes the summer 2018 and winter 2021 mugs. This mug's production batch was also very limited and it sold out in Finland on the first day of sales, August 9, 2024.
According to Finmug's experience, most of the new and labeled mugs from Arabia are flawless and deserve the condition rating "Supergood". However, about every third mug (new, first-quality) has factory defects, which we categorize as "Just fine".

Celebrating Spring in Moominvalley

The illustration on the mug is inspired by the first signs of spring in Moominvalley. The key event on the Spring mug is Snufkin's anticipated return from his winter adventures, symbolizing the onset of spring in Moominvalley. On one side of the mug, Snufkin steps into Moominvalley, while on the other side, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden admire the awakening of spring nature: the snow has melted and the first daffodils and tulips are blooming.The design, crafted by Tove Slotte, uses Tove Jansson's comic strips and books, including works such as "Moominland Midwinter" and "Moominvalley in November", to create a mug that reflects the beauty of spring and a new beginning. Launched on August 9, 2024, to celebrate Tove Jansson's birthday. The labelled mug comes with a beautiful gift package, enhancing its collectible value and making it an ideal gift for Moomin fans.
