Moominmamma Marmalade Moomin mug continues the popular series of character mugs featuring Moominmamma. This gentle peach-coloured mug is still in production and therefore relatively affordable, making it great for everyday coffee. On the light, solid base, small factory flaws—such as black dots—are easy to spot, which is why the mug doesn’t always reach the Supergood category after Finmug’s inspection. The same series also includes a bowl and a plate. The mug is designed in Finland, and mugs with the “Thailand” label are manufactured in Thailand. It uses the newer “By Arabia” backstamp.

This warm-hearted mug is especially suited to fans of Moominmamma who appreciate everyday, peaceful moments and a cosy atmosphere. Moominmamma Marmalade is a perfect gift both for collectors and for daily use.

The Moominmamma Marmalade mug’s illustration comes from Tove and Lars Jansson’s comics Moomin Winter (1959) and Make-Believe (1956). The artwork shows Moominmamma with her housemaid Misabel tending the vegetable garden. On the other side, Moominmamma relaxes, calmly enjoying tea in her rocking chair. Moominmamma is known as the heart of the Moominhouse—always gentle and helpful—and is often seen as a portrayal of Tove Jansson’s mother, Signe Hammarsten-Jansson.

  • Finland: The label says Made in Finland⭐
  • Thailand: The label says Designed in Finland. Made in Thailand.
