The Home Moomin mug is part of Arabia’s 80-year Moomin anniversary celebration.

Only 8000 pieces of the Home mug have been produced. Each mug is hand-painted and individually numbered. When selecting the "Thailand (Package)" option, the mug is delivered with its original packaging.
The mugs do not include separate labels, but Arabia has confirmed that all mugs were produced and hand-painted in Thailand. The bottom of each mug features a special MOOMIN 80 stamp, the individual mug number (1–8000), and the painter’s initials.

Finmug will occasionally offer mugs for sale when lucky winners decide to sell their mugs to us. The Home mug is Arabia’s first hand-painted Moomin mug, and due to its limited availability and uniqueness, its value is expected to significantly increase over time.

Product information

Home, the Moominhouse whose doors are always open, is at the heart of the MOOMIN 80 theme—and this mug is its most central piece.

The Home mug tells the story of the Moomins' first adventure, "The Moomins and the Great Flood," in which Moominpappa has been missing for a long time. The tale describes a huge flood forcing Moomintroll and Moominmamma to abandon their home. During their journey, they encounter other creatures who have also lost their homes, and eventually, the family reunites. When the floodwaters finally recede, they discover a beautiful, blooming valley more remarkable than any they've ever seen before. At the center of this valley stands the Moominhouse—where the doors always remain open for everyone.

The first two numbered Home mugs have already been given to special recipients: Mug number one was presented to Suzanne Innes-Stubb, spouse of the President of Finland, and mug number two was gifted to Tove Jansson's niece, Sophia Jansson. These mugs would undoubtedly have extraordinary value if they ever appeared for sale!
