Going on Vacation Moomin mug is Arabia’s 2018 summer season mug, whose value rose quickly after release. The popular mug sold out fast at the time, making it especially sought-after among collectors. The same seasonal range includes a plate with the same illustration. Designed in Finland and made in Thailand, the mug has—besides the Arabia backstamp—a year stamp typical of summer season mugs. Thanks to the rich, colourful artwork, factory flaws aren’t very visible, so many pieces end up in the Supergood category.
There are three label colours for this mug. Its value is expected to keep rising over the coming years, making it an excellent choice for collectors and for cosy summer coffee moments.

The artwork is based on Tove Jansson’s 1955 comic “Moomin’s Desert Island.” Illustrator Tove Slotte has skilfully combined panels into a sunny summer scene: Moominpappa gets ready to go fishing, Snorkmaiden enjoys a relaxed picnic, and in the background worried scientists ponder how the weather might affect the day off.

  • Finland: The label says Made in Finland⭐
  • Thailand: The label says Designed in Finland. Made in Thailand.
