Tove’s Jubilee Moomin mug was produced only in 2014.

The Tove’s Jubilee series was launched in 2014 to mark Tove Jansson’s 100th birthday. Alongside the Tove mug, the series included the “Glass mug” (the glasses-inside variant), a glasses plate, and three lidded jars in different sizes. Each item has a special base mark: the Tove 100 jubilee logo. Unusually for crown-stamped mugs, this mug also carries a 2014 year stamp. The official label reads “Tove’s Jubilee,” but collectors often call this regular version the “Tove mug.”
If the mug has glasses printed on the inside, it’s the Glass mug (sold separately at Finmug). Rillimuki is rare—only one in six mugs has the inside glasses print.
Two euros from each item were donated to UNICEF to support children’s education worldwide. Designed in Finland and made in Thailand. The colourful artwork makes small factory flaws harder to spot, so most stickered mugs fall into Finmug’s Supergood grade. If the large sticker is noticeably peeling, Finmug classifies it as Just fine.

The artwork is closely based on Tove Jansson’s book The Dangerous Journey, where the protagonist Susanna loses her glasses at a Moomin garden party. When she finds a new pair, the whole world looks different—hence the inside print of the “world-changing” glasses on every sixth mug. The scene shows many familiar characters (including Thingumy and Bob) at the party. Designer Tove Slotte combined elements from several originals, such as comic #18 Moomin and the Golden Tail, and even created a composite drawing of Thingumy and Bob by blending details from The Dangerous Journey and Finn Family Moomintroll.
