Sea Breeze, the Moomin’s Day 2023 Moomin mug (0.3 L) was on sale only for a short time after 9 August 2023.

Sea Breeze invites you to celebrate Moomin’s Day 2023! This year’s special mug is part of a limited series designed to honour Moomin’s Day and follows in the footsteps of the special mugs from 2018 and 2021. Each Thailand (Package) mug is delivered in its original box, making it even more special.

As a special mention, to celebrate Arabia’s 150th anniversary an extremely rare Platinum Sea Breeze version was released. Only 5,000 platinum mugs were produced and it is separate from this standard version. The production quantity of the standard version has not been disclosed. On the base of this special mug you’ll find an anniversary backstamp marking Arabia’s 150 years. Platinum mugs are also individually numbered xxxx/5000.

Sea Breeze mug draws its inspiration from Tove Jansson’s beloved novel Moominpappa at Sea, depicting the Moomin family’s adventures in a summery archipelago landscape.

The mug’s beautifully composed exterior is adorned with inky-blue tones, violets, and wild roses—but a surprise awaits inside the mug: a delicate seashell motif! This unique design was created by Tove Slotte, who has already illustrated one hundred Moomin mugs to date. Slotte took her inspiration from Jansson’s old letter stationery.
