Moomin Pitcher Ancestor is an Arabia Moomin pitcher that was produced in 2016–2017. This 1.1-litre pitcher belongs to the Ancestor series, which also includes a mug, bowl, plate, and lidded jar. The pitcher is designed in Finland and made in Thailand, and it features the newer “By Arabia” stamp. Interestingly, the product label says “Special product 2016–2017”, but the pitcher remained available even after that period – possibly because the production quantity exceeded the original plans. The pitcher is still relatively affordable, so it works well for everyday use, for example as a juice pitcher.

The Ancestor series brings a more mysterious and shadowy atmosphere to the Moomin world, standing out clearly from many other Moomin themes. The dark-toned illustration makes the series distinctive and easy to recognise. On the Ancestor pitcher, Ancestor peeks out from a doorway against a black background, creating an enigmatic mood. On the other side there is a hanging ornament that completes the illustration’s mysterious and slightly dramatic look. 1.1L Moomin Pitcher Ancestor is an excellent choice for both use and collecting – a combination of a darker Moomin theme, practicality, and Arabia quality.
