Moomin mug Sweethearts is a 2026 release celebrating the love between Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden — their first duo appearance since the iconic Love mug (1996). The series also includes a bowl, plate, spoon, mini-mug and other matching pieces. Designed in Finland and made in Thailand, the base carries the familiar “By Arabia” stamp. Because of the light solid background, tiny production specks can show easily, so only the most flawless pieces reach Finmug’s Supergood grade.
The artwork draws from Tove and Lars Jansson’s comics Moomin on the Riviera (1959), Moomin and the Sense of Duty (1958) and Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo (1958). Front: Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden sit among flowers, gazing at each other. Back: a playful diary-bonk that ends in apologies and a tender reconciliation.
Sweethearts blends Tove Jansson’s gentle philosophy with Moomin Arabia’s modern form — a perfect gift for someone you love or anyone wanting a little extra warmth in their coffee break.

Moomin mug Sweethearts tells a story of forgiveness and the strength of friendship. When the Moomins face challenges, they always find comfort in each other — love, trust, and compassion help them through anything. The artwork draws from Tove and Lars Jansson’s comics Moomin and the Sea(1959), Moomin and the Sense of Duty(1958), and Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo(1958).

On the front Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden sit side by side among flowers, eyes locked on each other. On the back a humorous moment where Moomintroll is bonked by Snorkmaiden’s diary — a tiff that ends in apologies and a tender reconciliation.
