Summer Theater Moomin mug is the 2017 summer season mug; the same series also includes a plate and a spoon. In addition to the Arabia backstamp, the base carries the year stamp typical of newer summer-season mugs. The mug was released with three label colours. Thanks to its rich, colourful artwork, small factory flaws don’t stand out easily, so the Summer Theater mug often falls into the Supergood quality class.
It isn’t especially valuable yet, as it remained available in shops for quite some time even after production ended. However, today’s limited availability is expected to raise its value in the future, as with other Arabia seasonal mugs. Designed in Finland and manufactured in Thailand.

The Summer Theater mug’s cheerful, summery illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s 1954 novel Moominsummer Madness. The artwork for the mug was designed by Tove Slotte, and features Moominpappa and Moomintroll writing a play script, Snorkmaiden admiring dresses, and—of course—a character dressed in a lion costume.

  • Well used: really used or clearly 2-quality

  • Finland: The label says Made in Finland⭐
  • Thailand: The label says Designed in Finland. Made in Thailand.
