Spring Winter Moomin mug is Arabia’s 2017 winter seasonal mug, whose value and popularity have risen thanks to its bright, uplifting artwork. The seasonal mug stands out from other, slightly darker winter mugs, which makes it especially sought-after among collectors. The same range also includes a bowl, and the base carries the year stamp typical of winter seasonal mugs. Designed in Finland and made in Thailand. Because the background is light, small factory flaws (such as black dots) are easy to spot, so the mugs are carefully inspected.

The artwork is based on Tove Jansson’s beloved classic Moominland Midwinter (1957). Arabia’s long-time illustrator Tove Slotte has skillfully combined scenes into a bright whole: on one side Moomintroll and Little My joyfully sled down a hill in the spring sunshine; on the other, Snufkin is returning from his winter wanderings to Moominvalley. The silver tray used for sledding is humorously stuck upright in the snow.
