Soap Bubbles Moomin mug is the 2011 striped summer seasonal mug, whose popularity and value among collectors have been steadily rising. Its fresh striped design makes it a sought-after addition to Moomin collections. Stickered examples are rare, and the label adhesive used was weaker than usual, so finding a flawless, untorn label is difficult. The same series includes a matching striped bowl. The base has Arabia’s classic crown backstamp; the label does not state the country of manufacture.
Because the background is clear and light, tiny factory flaws (like small black dots) are easy to notice. For this reason, in Finmug’s inspection the mug doesn’t often reach the top Supergood category. Given how hard it is to find well-kept, especially stickered pieces, its value is expected to keep rising. This colourful classic is a fine treasure for a collector—or a cheerful gift!

Soap Bubbles was the sixth (2006–2011) and final striped summer seasonal release. Tove Slotte designed the artwork, drawing inspiration from Tove Jansson’s comic Jungle Life. The mug shows Little My happily blowing soap bubbles. A fresh palette of green, red and orange sets it apart from earlier striped seasonals.
