Snowhorse Moomin mug is Arabia’s 2016 winter seasonal mug; the same series also includes a bowl and a spoon. In addition to the Arabia backstamp, the base carries the year stamp typical of seasonal mugs. Designed in Finland and made in Thailand. The mug is valuable thanks to its limited availability, and its distinct winter theme has made it a collectors’ favourite.

Because the background is light and solid, possible factory flaws—like tiny black dots—are easy to see, so Finmug inspects these mugs especially carefully. For that reason, the mug doesn’t always reach the Supergood grade. The price has already risen, and it’s expected to appreciate further—an excellent investment and a charming addition to any Moomin mug collection.

The illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s beloved Moominland Midwinter (1957), from which Arabia designer Tove Slotte selected wintry, atmospheric images. In the grey-toned mug, Moomintroll watches in wonder as the Snowhorse awakens, still waiting to be harnessed by the Lady of the Cold. The design also features the fan-favourite Surku dog.

  • Finland: The label says Made in Finland⭐
  • Thailand: The label says Designed in Finland. Made in Thailand.
