Snow Blizzard Moomin mug is part of Arabia’s 2020 winter season tableware. The set includes, in addition to the mug, a bowl, mini mugs, and two spoons. Designed in Finland and manufactured in Thailand, the mug also features the typical seasonal base stamp with a year mark.
The mug’s initial popularity was moderate, as it was widely available and its visual world resembles Light Snow Fall. However, it’s quite possible that the value of Snow Blizzard will grow over the years. This winter seasonal mug is an excellent purchase for fans of Moominland Midwinter and the Moomins who appreciate simple elegance in Arabia collections.
The simple, full-coverage illustration hides small factory flaws effectively; for this reason most Snow Blizzard mugs easily end up in the Supergood category.

The illustration for Snow Blizzard is inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved Moominland Midwinter, and the design was created—as usual—by Arabia’s Tove Slotte. The mug shows Moomintroll battling his way through a snowstorm. The original artwork was done using a scratch technique, which makes the mug distinctive and visually interesting, even if some collectors find it a bit too similar to earlier winter mugs such as Light Snow Fall and Crown Snow-Load.
