Rose Garden Moomin mug is the 2010 striped summer seasonal mug and part of Arabia’s popular striped series (2006–2011). A matching bowl with the same artwork was also released. Among collectors, Rose Garden is regarded as the most valuable seasonal mug produced in the 2010s, thanks to its beautiful illustration and harmonious palette. The mug was designed in Finland and bears Arabia’s classic crown backstamp; the label does not state the country of manufacture.

On the light striped surface, tiny factory flaws (like small black dots) show easily, so in Finmug inspections the mug doesn’t always reach Supergood. Its price is expected to keep rising, making this gentle, summery mug an excellent investment for any Moomin collector.

The artwork, skillfully composed by Tove Slotte, is based on Tove Jansson’s comic “Moomin and the Golden Tail.” The mug shows Moominmamma peacefully watering her yellow roses in her own rose garden. The calm summer mood and soft colours help explain why Rose Garden is so sought after among collectors.
