Primadonna’s Horse Moomin mug—often just “Primadonna”—is the 2012 summer seasonal release, and its value has increased markedly over the years. It is the most valuable of the four blue-and-yellow summer seasonal mugs, thanks to its striking artwork and relatively lower availability. Finding stickered examples in top condition is surprisingly difficult, making Supergood stickered pieces especially sought after. A matching bowl was released in the same series. Arabia’s classic crown backstamp appears on the base; the label does not state the country of manufacture.
Because of the light ground, tiny factory flaws (e.g., small black dots) are more visible, so in Finmug’s inspection this mug rarely reaches Supergood. As the first summer seasonal mug with this fresh blue-yellow palette, its collector popularity suggests the price will keep rising—an eye-catching addition to any Moomin collection.

The illustration for Primadonna’s Horse was arranged by Arabia designer Tove Slotte, combining details from Tove Jansson’s comics. The scene of Moomintroll leading Primadonna’s horse comes from comic #9 Moomin Falls in Love, while the foreground flowers are from comic #4 The Lonely Island.
