Moomin mug Moominvalley Park Japan 3 (0.3L) is the third special mug released at the Japanese Moomin theme park. This version went on sale in Hanno, Japan on 28 February 2026. The mug was unlikely to be available for long, as the production run is limited to 10,000 pieces, making it an attractive collector’s item for Moomin mug collectors. The base features the theme park’s own Moominvalley Park base stamp.
The Moominvalley Park 3 mug has a different colour scheme but the same illustration as the Simple Joy mug. The Moominvalley Park 3 mug was only available from the theme park together with a gift box, whereas the Simple Joy mug is also sold at other sales points in Japan and without a gift box.

Moominvalley Park mugs are known for being sold only at the theme park itself. This mug continues that tradition, but features completely new artwork.

The artwork on the Moominvalley Park Japan 3 Moomin mug shows the characters of Moominvalley in their everyday activities. Moomintroll and Snufkin are fishing together, Moominmamma is watering flowers in the garden, and Moominpappa is hanging a hammock between the trees. The illustration reflects the peaceful rhythm of Moominvalley and how the simplest everyday moments can be the most meaningful.

The mug’s artwork is inspired by several comics by Tove and Lars Jansson, including Moomin and the Golden Tail, The Conscientious Moomins, Moomin Falls in Love, and Moomin Builds a House. The spirit of these stories is visible in the scenes: the friends of Moominvalley spend a calm day together, enjoying nature and each other’s company. This makes the Moominvalley Park Japan 3 Moomin mug both a beautiful everyday item and a valued collector’s mug.
