Moomintroll Green Moomin mug  was released in 2019 as a continuation of the earlier Blue and Turquoise Moomintroll mugs. The same series includes a bowl and a plate. Versions with the rare “MOOMIN 75” gold backstamp are especially sought after. Because the background is a light solid colour, small factory flaws—like black dots—are easy to notice, so the mug doesn’t always make Finmug’s top Supergood category. Designed in Finland; mugs with the “Thailand” label are manufactured in Thailand. Thanks to its affordable price, it’s ideal for everyday coffee moments.

Its fresh green tone and charming artwork have made it popular among collectors and Moomin fans. The mug is part of Arabia’s continuous classic range and remains in production—perfect for fans of Moomintroll and anyone who appreciates cheerful, timeless design.

The illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s 1957 comic “Moomin and the Martians.” It shows a playful, curious encounter between Moomintroll and a Martian hiding in the forest; on the other side Moomintroll is tinkering with a device. At release, Arabia donated one euro per sold mug to Save the Children Finland.
