Arabia’s Moomin Mug Moomin’s Day Autumn is a 0.3-litre Moomin mug that was produced in 2026. The same series also includes a 4-piece mini mug set and a wall plate. The base of the mug has the standard Moomin Arabia stamp and the 2026 year stamp. The mug was designed in Finland and, according to the label, made in Thailand. As in previous years, the Moomin’s Day 2026 mug was delivered in a gift box repeating the illustration, and the collection was released only in a limited edition.

This autumn-themed Moomin mug concludes the Moomin’s Day mug series depicting the four seasons of Moominvalley, which began with a summer theme in 2018 and continued with winter in 2021 and spring in 2024. The Moomin’s Day 2026 collection went on sale on 8 August 2026, one day before the official Moomin’s Day. At the same time, the mug gained a special status, as it is the last mug designed by Tove Slotte for Moomin Arabia. According to Moomin Arabia, Slotte designed a total of 113 Moomin mug illustrations during her career.

The atmosphere of the collection is built around the warm tones of northern autumn and the moment when the Moomins prepare for hibernation. The family gathers hay to soften their beds and pine needles to fill their stomachs for the long resting season. That is exactly what makes the Moomin’s Day Autumn mug a calm yet highly story-driven whole.

The illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s comic Dangerous Winter from 1955. The autumn landscape, the low northern sun and the shades of autumn foliage give the mug a soft and slightly wistful appearance. That is why Moomin Mug Moomin’s Day Autumn works beautifully both as the conclusion to the Moomin’s Day mug series and as a tribute to Tove Slotte’s long work with Moomin mugs.
