Little My Sliding Moomin mug was in production in 1999–2007 and 2011.

The label on this mug says “Little My Green”, although it is more commonly known as “Little My Sliding”. Mugs with a Made in Finland label are especially prized. Pieces made in 1999 with a year mark are extremely rare and valuable, particularly if found in good condition.
Because the mug has a plain green background, signs of use and factory flaws such as small black dots are easy to see, so “super good” examples are limited. A matching bowl and plate were also made with this artwork. Later a 0.4 L version of this mug was released.

This was the first Little My themed Moomin mug. After this came “Yellow Little My”, “Red Little My”, and “Little My in the Meadow”. Although the Green Little My is discontinued, you can still find it at Finmug in various condition grades and label variants.

This mug was first released in 1999 and remained in production until 2007. In 2011 it was reintroduced, to collectors’ surprise, when the Citymarket chain brought it back for its anniversary selection. In the original illustration by Tove and Lars Jansson, Little My enjoys sliding down a slide, a theme that reflects her wild, joyful, and playful nature. The mug was designed with Tove Slotte and is based on several works by Tove Jansson, including the comic “Moomintroll and the Comet” and the book “Moominland Midwinter”.
