Little My in the Meadow Moomin mug is the fourth character mug featuring the ever-popular Little My. This light-toned mug is still in production, so its value is currently relatively affordable. On a plain, light base, factory flaws such as small black dots are easy to notice, which is why—after Finmug’s inspection—the mug often doesn’t reach the Supergood category. The mug uses the newer “By Arabia” backstamp. In the Little My in the Meadow series there is also a matching bowl and plate with the same illustration. These mugs are designed in Finland, and mugs with the “Thailand” label are manufactured in Thailand.

Few people know that Mymble’s Daughter, Little My, and Snufkin are siblings — or that their mother’s name is also Mymble (Mymble's Mother).
The illustration on the Little My in the Meadow mug is based on Tove and Lars Jansson’s beloved 1958 comic “Moomin and the Comet”. In the story, the inhabitants of Moominvalley flee from a comet hurtling toward their homes, and the curious Little My joins Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden to unravel the mystery. True to her nature, Little My stays carefree: she lies back on the meadow and gazes at the brightly shining comet in the sky. The artwork highlights Little My’s courage and nonchalance—qualities that have made her one of Moominvalley’s most popular characte
rs.

  • Just fine: in good condition, the glaze may have traces of use
  • Well used: really used or clearly 2-quality

  • Fin/Thai: The label says Iittala Group / Arabia.fi / product name
  • Finland: The label says Made in Finland⭐
  • Thailand: The label says Designed in Finland. Made in Thailand.
  • Thailand (Gold/Red/Green): 2017-2021 summer season mugs have also color options
