Arabia’s Moomin Mug Holiday Rush is a 0.3-litre Moomin mug and the summer seasonal mug for 2026. This summer mug belongs to the limited-edition Holiday Rush collection, and the same tableware series also includes a plate and, for the first time in the summer seasonal range, a mini mug.

In addition to the Arabia stamp, the base of the mug carries the 2026 year stamp. The mug’s label states that these mugs were designed in Finland and made in Thailand.

Holiday Rush opens a new series of five summer collections that follow the Moomins’ travel adventure over several years. In the 2026 summer collection, the Moomin family is setting off for the Riviera, and the illustration captures the anticipation of departure, the bustle, and the last-minute rush of packing. Moominpappa already has his things ready, but the rest of the family is still in full motion. Moomintroll is trying to close his suitcase, Moominmamma is wondering what everything that needs to be packed for the trip, and Snorkmaiden dashes through the background with an armful of necessary things.

The illustration is lively and full of small details. It is based on Tove Jansson’s beloved comics Moomin on the Riviera, Moomintroll at Sea, and partly also Moomintroll and the Comet. In the Riviera story, the idea for the trip comes from Moominpappa and Snorkmaiden, who want to head south to enjoy life and celebrate through the nights. Moomin Mug Holiday Rush brings a cheerful and slightly hectic departure mood to this story.

The mug also has a charming detail on the inside. A note reads in English, “the key is under the windowsill”. This small detail captures the Moomins’ welcoming world well, where guests are free to come in even when the family itself is away travelling.

For the first time, a seasonal mug also has illustration on the inside of the mug. Previously, only the Tove’s spectacles plate has had illustration on the inside of the plate.
